I am always in awe of the number of times when singers from around the world elect to perform in the English language. Especially when I consider the other options.....
I wonder if this song was a hit in Bulgaria - I had to look it up, hadn't heard it here in Canada - but the talent backstage is singing along in English.
Dann, I agree - I'm always floored at how many non-English bands perform flawlessly in English.
It's an interesting cover. The first few seconds of it make it sound like a straight cover but then gets a good beat going (which is especially well done since there's no percussion).
As a fan of covers, the "umbrella" bit at the end was a bit much (this is probably the most over-covered song that's come out in the past few years) but wasn't too bad.
I had to look up when Sting's version came out and it was played during the closing credits for the Professional which has a strong following around the world very similar to Fight Club did here. Which may be apt because "Where is my Mind?" by the Pixies was the closing credits for Fight Club and made it more popular than I think it ever was when originally released.

Is this 2010's viral "Idol" video, I wonder?
