I've been a professional writer for 30 years and have worked in television, radio and newspapers, as well as writing for advertising agencies and magazines. I maintain a site, www.comicstripoftheday.com, which is updated daily and takes much of my attention, though I still blog here when I have something to say. I'm also a dogowner, a dad and grandfather and, like apparently 40 percent of the people on this planet, a writer of children's stories. Most days, this blog should reflect some of that.

I'm going to start asking around to see if the local political party machineries would be interested in sponsoring some verbiage on the Planetarium dome before my classes start, as students are filing in.
